The Swedish coffee producer and trading company Arvid Nordquist will build a completely new facility in northern Stockholm. The move means that after more than 60 years, they will leave the area of Solna (more central of Stockholm), which lacks further expansion opportunities. The vision is to build a modern and resource-efficient coffee roastery that provides minimal environmental impact.
For the new factory, InterSystem has been chosen as the supplier of new central palletizing, internal transport of primary and secondary packaging, pallet handling and stretchwrapping. The installation is planned for the winter of 2024 and will be one of the larger InterSystems made in Sweden.
Erik Johnsson is the CEO of InterSystem,
“In close collaboration with the team at Arvid Nordquist, we have found a layout that feels really good. We are grateful for the trust and are happy to be a part of this exciting project.”
The new facility will mainly be built of wood and will be located next to the E18 highway. The building will be Arvid Nordquist’s new head office and in addition to the coffee roastery and office, an automatic high-bay warehouse will also be built.
